In 1955 Rolls Offset was founded as a small forms printer on East Forty-fifth Street in Manhattan. Since then there have been a lot of changes, not the least of which has been the evolution of the Rolls Offset Group. Today we are a truly "full service" provider of quality printed products and services for direct mail marketing. We provide a "one stop shop" to professionally manage your project, regardless of size, from its creative to its postal delivery "in home".

Large Format Printing

High quality digital printing is a necessity in keeping up with the fast-paced and competitive business world of today. Dazzle your clients with large, vibrantly colored promotional pieces. We can output posters as large as 72" by any length. We print up to 1800 dpi and on most any substrait including backlit and fine art canvas materials, photogloss and satin papers, gold and silver foils, cotton and silk fabrics, watercolor archivals, and tyvek and outdoor vinyl materials. For your added convenience, all mounting and finishing are provided in-house by our skilled craftsmen.

Pre-Press

Our expansive print facility houses a network of state of the art equipment. Send us a job in the format of your choice-Mac or PC, on disk or electronically. We are capable of high-resolution scanning and correction, typesetting, page layout, color trapping and electronic stripping. We offer a variety of proofing options including PDF files and digital color printouts.

If you're ready to move beyond film, at Rolls Offset we go direct-to-plate. This means we can generate a sharper image from your digital information without any intermediate steps. As a result, the time needed for changes during press checks is significantly shortened.

Sheetfed Offset Printing

With over five decades of printing experience, our superior craftsmen coupled with a quality tradition and today's state of the art equipment, Rolls Offset can offer you the convenience of a single source for all your printing needs from a simple letter to a complex brochure. Our commercial printing capabilities include color sheet fed presses and color web presses along with a large and diverse bindery for finishing.

Web Offset Printing

Web and sheet-fed offset presses are similar in that many of them can also print on both sides of the paper in one pass, making it easier and faster to print duplex. Offset web printing is generally used for runs in excess of five or ten thousand impressions. Typical examples of web printing include newspapers, newspaper inserts/ads, magazines, direct mail, catalogs, and books. Web-fed presses are divided into two general classes: "cold" or "non-heatset," and "heatset" offset web presses; the difference being how the inks that are used dry.

Forms Printing

In direct marketing, the "offer" needs to be communicated. Rolls Offset's creative professionals know how to use high color effectively. Our state of the art printing presses, operated by true craftsmen who still take pride in their work, are capable of precision high color printing that attracts attention. All this takes place at speeds so fast that digital cameras are required to continuously monitor quality.

"Grabbing their attention" is what it's all about in direct marketing. Action devices such as embossed foil labels and membership cards can be affixed as an integral part of your package, all within the confines of our 71,000 square foot forms facility.

Envelopes

With the multitude of details required to come together in a successful direct marketing campaign, the envelope is often regarded as a "necessary evil". Yet the best creative and the most fantastic offer can all be lost if the envelope carrying the package never gets opened. At Rolls Offset's envelope division we specialize in envelopes "that get opened". Our state of the art envelope manufacturing equipment allows us to provide a wide variety of interesting carriers which include custom die cuts, multiple windows, special fragrances. In addition, our warehoused inventory of standard envelopes awaits those emergency situations requiring immediate turn-around.

Lettershop and Fulfillment

A lot of time, effort and money is spent to develop your package. Effective communication takes place only when your message gets delivered to the right people at the right time. At Rolls Offset we recognize that our responsibility doesn't end until that is accomplished. To that end we maintain an excellent relationship with the US Postal service even to the extent of having a complete in-house Post Office. From the expert in-house programmers for mail sorting to various methods of personalization, we offer you the value, convenience, and peace of mind that comes with a fully equipped modern letter shop.
